BARKTIVITIES
about us
Inspired by our three fur babies, featured in our logo, and the owner's zeal for small business, the Bark by the Park (BBTP) brand was created in 2015.
Our first rescue from Paws Chicago. Pico is a Boston Terrier Mix.
Our second rescue from Paws Chicago. Langdon is a Pug /Terrier Mix.
Lastly, our foster fail. Fidel was a loveable tabby who passed in 2022.
Bark by the Park is a pet care and (online) boutique specializing in curated goods for dogs and cats. Our mission is to offer quality goods while supporting woman-owned businesses, artisans, and USA-made products wherever pawsible.
We started small, from pop-ups to festivals, until the day we found our furever home. We were originally located in the heart of Lakeview East (Chicago, IL). However, as some of you know, since moving to the new Broadway storefront we encountered a number of building issues. In the end, we were able to terminated the lease and cease operations at that location in the fall of 2022.
At this time, we are regrouping and planning to take a break from in-store operations to assess opportunities in our new city of Boston. We are continuing to ship domestically to our pawsome patrons outside of the Greater Boston Area. We offer FREE delivery for orders over $35 within our new service area.
Our pet care services continue to operate in the following Boston neighborhoods:

A native Chicagoan, Nicky (she/her) is a graduate of the Quinlan School of Business in Marketing and Visual Communications from Loyola University Chicago. As a recession graduate, she was able to explore her passions before entering the corporate world. This included retail operations, non-profit work, and animal care / pet care. Her passion for animal advocacy grew leading to the fostering and adopting of her three fur boys.
Choosing the road most traveled was not for her, as much as she enjoyed her experiences in the tech and consumer goods industries. She would eventually forge her own path to become a pet entrepreneur.
